Designing for Lowell

Wish Designs custom-designs hats and outerwear for the Lowell Historical Park gift shop. These designs connect us not only with an important era in US history, but also with an important element of our own business history-- the rich history of American enterprise, manufacturing, and textile production.

We have a deep appreciation for Lowell, Massachusetts and its long history and leading role in the American Industrial Revolution. As a manufacturing company that works in textiles, we cannot help but look back at the history of textile manufacturing in the US without thinking of Lowell.

Lowell, a city an hour Northwest of Boston was once known as the "Venice of the United States." It was the first large-scale industrial city in American history, a hub of the US textile industry and the American Industrial Revolution. In the 19th Century, Lowell's industry was powered by the Merrimack River and the hands and hard work of US immigrants working in textile mills.

In 1978 the US National Park Service commemorated Lowell's leading role it the American Industrial Revolution by opening the Lowell Historical Park. The park features 5.6 miles of canals that can be explored on foot, by tour boat, or aboard a historic trolley. On the next trip to Massachusetts, be sure to visit Lowell and relive an important era in American history. For more information on the park, tours and events, visit the Park Website.

Wish Designs custom designs embroidery and screen printing for the National Park Service, museums, and historic places across the US. For more information on how we can serve your custom design needs, visit our website.

Wish Designs for the National Park Service

Among the many projects Wish Designs works on for the National Park Service, is the Park Service Law Enforcement Trailer, featured here. The DUI enforcement trailer is used for road block-style stops in the Delaware Water Gap National Park. It is essential that the trailer's graphics are highly visible, durable, and reflective so they can easily be seen from a distance by oncoming traffic. The Scotchcal graphics we used are made from a highly reflective vinyl that is visible at night when illuminated.

Wish Designs' graphic artists know the importance of functional design. We custom-designed the trailer's graphics to match those featured on the NPS vehicle that tows the trailer. Wish Designs specializes in signs and vinyl graphics that serve a specific and functional purpose. For more information about how Wish Designs can meet your functional design needs, visit our website or speak with Fred at 610-614-0664.

Happy Martin Luther King Day from Wish Designs

Today, Martin Luther King Day, is a day to remember that the dream of one man lives on in each of us and in our work. As Dr. King said as he accepted the Nobel Peace Prize, "I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits. I believe that what self-centered men have torn down, men other-centered can build up." We reflect on this dream for a better and brighter future for our families, communities, nation, and world.

Today, as a tribute to his example, his message, and his dream, we feature the screen printing and embroidery that we custom-designed and manufactured for the Martin Luther King Historic Site.

Martin Luther King's is a dream that we hope you capture...and pass on. Happy Martin Luther King Day from Wish Designs.

Nazareth on the World Map: Martin Guitar

It is confirmed! Nazareth, PA is on the world map. Recently, a Rotary Exchange student from Ecuador joined our family for a typical American dinner. He told us that he had heard about Nazareth long before visiting the US. You, like we were, may be surprised. Nazareth is a small town, often overshadowed by its more populated and well-known Lehigh Valley neighbors, Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton. It can easily be missed when driving North to ski or hike in the Pocono Mountains. However, this particular exchange student knew of Nazareth because it is the home of Martin Guitar. Since 1833, C.F. Martin & Company has been building the finest acoustic instruments in the world, most notably guitars, in small town Nazareth, PA.

This is a fact of which we are proud. C.F. Martin & Company has produced over 1 million guitars in its long history. Its commitment to quality, community, and craftsmenship are qualities that set it apart. And, as such, is recognized worldwide. We are proud to be Martin Guitar's neighbors and are equally proud that our town, Nazareth, is associated with these distinguishing qualities.

These are qualities that we share. Wish Designs prides itself on high quality production, craftsmenship in our custom design and manufacturing, and strong commitment to the community to which we belong. We are proud to serve fellow Lehigh Valley businesses such as C.F. Martin & Company.

These embroidered hats and other Wish Designs products can be found in the C.F. Martin & Company gift shop. Be sure to stop by for a guided factory tour! For additional information on Wish Designs, visit our website.

Happy Thanksgiving Lehigh Valley!

Happy Thanksgiving, Lehigh Valley! This is the time of year to express our thanks. We are thankful for our customers from coast to coast, the Wish Designs team, the Lehigh Valley community, our family and friends, and YOUR support which allows us to do what we love in a community where we love to work. We design signs, door art, furniture, and embroidered and screen printed apparel because we are custom designers at heart. And we are proud to be a Lehigh Valley business.
On Thanksgiving morning, we ran the Nazareth Pumpkin Pie 5K to benefit the Nazareth, PA YMCA. Nazareth families were out in the cold to cheer us on, friends watched from their windows, and over 600 people ran together through town as snow fell softly to the ground. This is the pleasure of being a local Lehigh Valley small business owner.
We are a part of the community, proud to support it, and thankful for your support in return. We, on behalf of the Wish Designs team, hope that you had a beautiful Thanksgiving! Thank you for your business, your support, and your friendship.

If It's in Our Forest, It's in Our Gift Store!

Do you know what's great about the San Bernardino National Forest Association? They work tirelessly to protect and preserve one of our most beloved National forests. We love working with them because they say "if it's in our forests, it's in our gift stores." Their gift stores are the perfect home for custom-designed Wish Designs apparal. They feature unique, educational, unusual, nature-inspired product lines. We design to accurately and artistically represent the forests' unique landscape, flora and fauna so that when you shop for a t-shirt or sweatshirt, you bring home a piece of the forests' essence.
Located in Southern California, San Bernardino National Forest welcomes more visitors each year than Yellowstone and Yosemite combined. While the number of visitors to US national parks has nearly doubled in the last 5 years, funding for the National Forest has decreased. The National Forest Association works to fill that gap. It runs conservation and education programs to promote respect for the forest, stewardship, and forest-related fun.

Support their efforts by visiting the San Bernardino National Forest, volunteering for the Forest Association, making a donation, or shopping in their gift stores. And be sure to look for Wish Designs screen printing and embroidery when you're there. To learn more about how you can help to protect and preserve San Bernardino National Forest, visit

Sigal Museum: A Sign of Lehigh Valley's History

This summer, Wish Designs, Inc. was approached to custom-design a sign for the entrance of the Sigal Museum in Easton, Pennsylvania. As a Lehigh Valley business, we love projects like this. To us, the opportunity to design a sign for one of the region's newest and most exciting museums is an opportunity to support the Lehigh Valley community and a source of local pride. The Sigal museum brings our local history to life and we are thrilled to design a sign that draws the Lehigh Valley's attention to the museum and to our shared history. Wish Designs designed and manufactured the sign, made of LED back-lit stainless steel channel letters.

If you haven't visited the Sigal Museum yet, its 33,000 square foot facility is located at 342 Northampton Street in Easton. It is the new home of the museum, collection of local archives, and the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society offices.

The Sigal Museum opened in mid-August 2010 to the public. For more information and to see a picture of the entranceway and Wish Designs sign, visit http://www.northamptonctymuseum.org/. Additional information can also be found on Lehigh Valley Live. If you are interested in a custom-designed sign for your business or organization, visit http://www.wishdesigns.com/ or call Fred Schneider at 610-614-0644.

Joshua Tree: Design and Embroidery

We are extremely proud of a new custom designed Joshua Tree tshirt that will be featured in the Joshua Tree National Park gift shops this winter/spring season. This tshirt showcases an artistic combination of screenprinting and embroidery. The screenprinted landscape was designed and hand drawn by Wish Designs graphic artist, Frederick Schneider. The embroidered tree adds detail and depth.
We love designing for US National Parks. It is easy to be inspired by our country's most beloved natural treasures. We are sure that you will agree that the California desert comes to life in this design.

If you are visiting Joshua Tree National Park this winter or spring to enjoy the landscape covered in blooming joshua trees, be sure to stop by the gift shop to see one of our latest custom designs. Design for Sabino Canyon

Wish Designs, Inc. recently discovered Sabino Canyon in Tucson, Arizona. Known for the Saguaro Cacti that line the horizon and the rugged landscape that climbs to Thimble Peak, Sabino Canyon is a breathtaking display of desert beauty. We recently had the pleasure of custom designing a t-shirt that is currently for sale in the Sabino Canyon Public Lands Interpretive Association gift shop. The design incorporates a screen printed sketch of the canyon with a tall and mighty embroidered Saguaro. We hope that this design allows you to bring Sabino Canyon back home with you. For more information on Sabino Canyon, visit Public Lands Interpretive Association or Friends of Sabino Canyon.
